CyberShift Releases Version 4.0 of its Workforce Management Suite

- Web-Based Workforce Management Solution Features Advanced Scheduling, Industry Leading Usability, Labor Budget Planning and Content Management -

PARSIPPANY, N.J., June 20, 2005 - CyberShift, Inc., a leading provider of workforce management software and services, today announced the availability of the CyberShift Workforce Management 3G™ product suite version 4.0 at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 57th Annual Conference and Exposition in San Diego. The latest version of the company's award-winning solution features enhancements to its Advanced Scheduling and Content Management modules; labor budget planning; usability improvements based on in-depth studies; enhancements to the highly effective Rules Manager tool; additional report writer capabilities and more than 200 new features and functions throughout the suite.

CyberShift's enterprise-class product suite offers large, complex organizations a robust and highly scalable solution for improved productivity and workforce optimization, all at a reasonable cost. Using a rules-based technology platform built upon an agile Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), CyberShift's Workforce Management suite enables organizations to achieve substantial business benefits and competitive advantage by optimizing the deployment of workforce assets.

Advanced Scheduling Helps Organizations Identify Demand and Staffing Patterns

The scheduling of employees is both a dynamic and critical element of business planning. The ability to create an employee schedule that defines what is needed and optimizes the matching of available and qualified employees, while minimizing labor costs, has taken on real strategic significance. CyberShift's Advanced Scheduling features:

  • A dynamic, real-time employee scheduling system that incorporates advanced functions such as employee preferences, skills, overtime equalization, pay rates, seniority, planned leaves, etc.

  • Extensive self-service functionality to create optimal schedules based on job/shift bidding and trading, location, employee availability and other advanced capabilities

  • Schedule planner assistance or full schedule optimization for centralized or location-specific controls and plans. Managers work with a single view of changing labor conditions and use a "best fit" job assignment optimizer to identify staffing gaps and make labor adjustments based on real-time data and available resources

High Acceptance by End Users Who Use the System with No Training Whatsoever

One of CyberShift's workforce management market differentiators continues to be its single portal user interface. Clients benefit from this unique design that provides users and managers alike with a convenient and intuitive single screen dashboard to access and manage schedules as well as enter time and attendance information. The user interface is pure HTML with no client side applications.

  • Detailed studies performed to identify the optimal design of the user interface to allow the system to be deployed with no formal end-user training required

  • Online animated tutorials, CBT guides and field-by-field or process level help instructions

Content Management to Create Repositories of Centralized Information

The flexibility of the CyberShift product suite enables the system to extend beyond its boundaries and organize authored or external content such as the automated administration of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and other cases requiring supporting documentation and audit trails. Built atop the suite's powerful rules and workflow engines, the Content Management module found in version 4.0 can initiate and administer policies and procedures, organize external information and provide a means of collaboration for a variety of critical workforce requirements.

Maximum Flexibility through a Superior Rules Manager

Inherent to the suite's design and functionality are the presence of knowledge repositories and a rules-based engine. Version 4.0 features Rules Manager II, enabling users and the CyberShift implementation team to configure and automate business rules to easily adapt to changing business requirements. CyberShift's Rule Manager II is unique in its ability to automate 100 percent of an organization's pay rules, work rules, scheduling rules and other policies without any customization.

"We have listened carefully to our customers' feedback and conducted our own extensive research to guide our version 4.0 development efforts," said Robert Farina, CEO of CyberShift. "CyberShift is dedicated to providing innovative workforce management solutions that improve corporate performance, help organizations achieve rapid time-to-benefit and dramatically increase employee productivity and satisfaction."

The CyberShift Workforce Management 3G suite can be deployed in-house or delivered and maintained using the CyberShift On Demand™ ASP model.
